What matters in this industry
- 01
Pallet-based dimensions
The product ships and displays on a pallet. Wraps and headers are built to standard pallet sizes; a few centimetres out means a unit that does not sit properly in store.
- 02
Reinforced corners
Heavy packs stress the corner joints. Corners are doubled up and locked with plastic connectors; otherwise the unit opens at first fill.
- 03
Chemical resistance
A leaking detergent ruins a cardboard body and dulls the surface of some plastics. Feet that break floor contact and chemically resistant materials are standard here.

About this industry
What is the difference between a pallet display and a floor display?
A pallet display arrives on the pallet with the product and is opened in store; a floor display arrives empty and is filled there. In heavy categories the pallet route noticeably reduces staff workload.
Can cardboard carry heavy packs?
It can, but the body must be built for it: doubled corners, plastic carriers under the shelf and feet that lift it off the floor. Without these a cardboard unit sags within a week.
